Rosie the Riveter |
We honor and celebrate the workers of the world - have a great Labor Day weekend everyone!
Certainly, one of the more readily recognizable icons of labor is "Rosie the Riveter," the indefatigable World War II-era woman who rolled up her sleeves, flexed her arm muscles and said, "We Can Do It!" But, this isn't the original Rosie.
If you are celebrating Labor Day in New York City, honor the people who fought to obtain better working conditions for our country.
The Tenement Museum’s Sweatshop Workers tour features an hour-long exploration through two preserved apartments from 1897 and 1910.
