2020 | yang white metal rat

On January 25th of 2020, according to the oriental calendar, starts the Year of the Yang White
Metal Rat. The Eastern zodiac uses a 60 years cycle. Each year is governed by an animal and
an element.

our family is so blessed with our fave rat

The Rat is the first out of all 12 animals and belongs to the strongest element – Water. The Rat represents the beginning of a 12 years cycle.

The Rat is also associated with the Earthly Branch (地支—dì zhī) Zi (子) and the midnight
hours. In the terms of yin and yang (阴阳—yīn yáng), the Rat is yang and represents the
beginning of a new day.

In Asian culture, rats were seen as a sign of wealth and surplus. Because of their
reproduction rate, married couples also prayed to them for children.

This year can mean a new beginning in terms of international relationship and social
order. This zodiac sign is also associated with the “Flower of Love” - the Rat year
will stimulate more scandals in romantic relationships.

indigenous environmental practice

Amidst all the hoopla of the devastation caused by wildfires in Australia - a voice of reason we need to listen and attend.

We acknowledge that we work on stolen land and pay our respects to First Nations elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.

Let us pray.

Young Indigenous activist Jamie Graham-Blair

Jamie Graham-Blair is a young and warm-hearted specialist in matters of science, Indigenous resistance and the spiritual world.

His knowledge about environmental conservation is rooted in traditional Aboriginal practices informed by modern science. It's a well rounded approach that seeks to tackle sustainability from all angles.

Through his advocacy Jamie is now asking Australia to listen to Indigenous people in order to survive the environmental and spiritual despair the world is currently facing.

Read what Jamie has to say about the limitations of Euro-centric universities, how Aboriginal people have always been the original scientists and how younger generations are the key to saving the future.

Traditional custodians have always protected country. What if instead of colonizing people came and learned from these guardians of our world?

We now work with a variety of ethical organisations and companies to help communicate positive and informative media around issues faced by society.

We specialize in short for documentaries, from 10 seconds to 10 minutes, providing media for all platforms, photography, audio and film. After 15 years being based in Asia, we have now moved back to the UK to continue our work.
