Every year, March is designated Women’s History Month by presidential proclamation. Why this day needs a presidential proclamation is beyond our nation of women and all tribes of females. The month is set aside to honor women’s contributions in world history. 

March 8 is a global holiday - International Women's Day. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements - across nations, divisions, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.

Maya Angelou has long paved the way for women of the world. A brave beacon to lead our way out of the dark. 

We are all in a better place for the opportunity to stand on her brave strong shoulders and be better able to carve our own way into new territory.

Last shoutout for our March women of substance! My two sisters were born in March. 

So before the end of March and Women's History month we celebrate them and every other female. 

Famous or not each and every one is remarkable in her own unique way. 

In the Philippines where wonder | wander | women were born and raised we honor a goddess of war and poisons named Ina Gunid. 

Here at wonder | wander | world we like to highlight the spectacular. 

As the world shuts its light for an hour tonight in respect of Earth Hour we join in with our support. 

May you have your own time honored and current women who brighten your world and make a difference in your lives.
